Spring School Trip to Jing San Beach @ 29th April 2011

Your school arrange a Spring Trip to the beach and you were so excited. When you tell me I said no we are not going as your daddy won't be back that week. So you are so sad and you tell me that I can just go with you mah. The two of us also can go.

So I said I'll see about it as your daddy is not here and beach is a dangerous place and you are so naughty and scare that you might not listen to me and went ahead to play in the water. So the next day you told your teacher what I said and when I pick you up form school your teacher was telling me that it's okay to go with you as the teacher will help me to look after you and to let you go to this Spring trip to the beach. But end up daddy did come back and we went to the trip with daddy and you were super duper happy.

So on 29th April 2011 (Friday), I wake up super early and so were you as you were too excited to sleep. I make us egg sandwich to take there to eat. Then we get ready and we went to the school to gather with your friends and teacher and took the bus there. It's about one hour plus trip from here.

When we reach the beach your teacher said to take group photo first then all of you children were given a kite each and 2 tickets for the rides. They have Ferris wheel, Merry go round, swinging boat and a few more rides. You did not play with the kite and you did not go for any rides at all. All you did was playing with the sand. Digging the sand and scooping the sand. You enjoy so much. Oh nearly forgot. That day was cold and super windy. So daddy bought a pink hat for you from the stall there.

After sand playing we eat our egg sandwich and then walk around and search for toilet. Then we saw a stall selling beads and they'll make necklace, keyring and bracelet. You said you want one and daddy was searching for you Chinese name but end up cannot find Yi. So in the end you just put Chor and your doggy sign. You are happy.

Then after lunch all your friends gather and play games with another class. After playing 3 games it's time to come home again. You sleep half way home and you are super duper happy for this trip.

Overall the trip is not that nice compare to last year Autumn trip. The beach is not that nice and the toilet is right outside near the entrance. And it happen that day is cold and too windy. But you still enjoy your self which is the most important of all.

Autumn School Trip to Yue Yuan Yuan - Shanghai Sculpture Park

The Autumn School Trip is the day after your 4th birthday that is on the 22nd of October 2010. And it's so lucky that your daddy is back from Beijing.

Yue Yuan Yuan is a sculpture park. Your class were in bus number 4. It take us about 50mins from your school to the park. Your were very excited and happy. I'm also excited as I can visit another new place in Shanghai.

Your school charge us RMB278 for 2 adults and one child. So I think it's worth it and transportation provided and child's food provided.

It also happen that on the 22nd October 2010 is me and your daddy's 5th wedding anniversary.

Piano Lesson at Happy Valley School Part 3

As we were walking up to your class your piano teacher ask you to go for lesson first alone. Then later she'll go get another child  as it's still too early. Then you start to whine again and I tell your Teacher Chang that get another friend then only you'll go for lesson.

Then she start to tell me your progress. She said that you are very intelligent. You learn very fast except that your finger is still not good. Then she said when you observe your friend learning new notes and song and your friend were trying to play you told your teacher at one look you know how to play.

I'm happy that you can do it but you are a bit too much don't you think so? Even if you know how to play at one look also you don't have to show off.

Piano Lesson at Happy Valley School Part 2

I really don't know what happen today to you at piano lesson. I drop you at your piano class and you ask me to wait for you until your lesson finish but as I try to leave you cry and cry like crazy. End up I have to wait outside for you and you can't pay attention at all in your class. You keep on looking outside to see if I'm still there.

But from where I observe, you are quite quick to pick up form what your teacher teach you just that you can't concentrate because I'm there. For example today you learn a new note D. The teacher teach you that it's beside the Middle C and you learn so fast that you can play the song and count to the beat all by yourself without the teacher telling you.

For example the song "train" that you play this morning. It's Middle C four counts and D four counts then  middle C two count and D two count. Follow by Middle C and D two count each again and middle C one count four times and middle C one count  four times again. You did all that by yourself.

I'm so proud of you but all this while that you play you were crying and counting all together. Hahaha.....
End up I get so angry because you were disturbing another child beside you learning and distract her so your teacher ask me to take you back to your class. I'm not going to drop you at your piano class but I'm going to drop you at your own class and let your teacher take you to piano class.

Piano Lesson at Happy Valley School Part 1

I'm so surprise to see you at your piano lesson this morning. When your teacher open the music book on the fist page with the notes you can play and count to the music notes. The left page is with the upper staff treble clef which you need to play with your right hand. The music notes is middle C. You play by yourself and count to the note which is four count. Then on the right page is the lower staff bass clef where you know how to take your left hand up to play the middle C and again count to the four count.

The next page is where you  need to play with both your hands. Right hand first also middle C four count twice and left hand middle C four count twice then repeat again. You did all that without the instruction form teacher. I'm surprise that you can learn so fast. Today is the 7th lesson. Or maybe not you can learn fast but the teacher is good. Hahahaha...... but anyway I'm so proud of you and so is your daddy as he is there this morning to look at you playing too.

Your piano teacher also same surname as you . Teacher Chang said that your thumb need practice. Not good at all no strength. Left hand worst still. Position of the fingers not good and no strength.

But to me you are doing great and good. Keep up the good work Jwo.

Happey Valley Bilingual Kndergarten Shanghai

One happy thing moving to Shanghai is that you go to school half day. I'll take you home at 11:25 to have lunch and afternoon nap. Then if you have class in the afternoon I'll take you to school again and pick you up again at 4:25.

When you first started school it's only half day. No extra class in the afternoon. You were in "xiao pan". You come back home and take lunch and afternoon nap. After that you'll do you writing and numbers. After few months your teacher ask if you'll like to learn drawing, mandarin and dancing. You said you want drawing and mandarin only and not dancing because dancing is taught by other class  teacher. Then after few weeks you change your mind again you want to learn dancing as well. I'm okay with whatever decision you make. So end up I have to take you to school every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon for all that class.

The school in Shanghai start every new year semester in September. So now you are in "Zhong Pan". And your English class is also change to afternoon. This new year semester your school also offer piano lesson and you said you want to learn. So end up we have to reach your school very early in the morning. We have to be there by 8:00am for your piano lesson. You have your piano lesson everyday. It's good. I'm happy. You are happy.
