Piano Lesson at Happy Valley School Part 3

by Ida Khoo @ Jwo Yi’s mummy
As we were walking up to your class your piano teacher ask you to go for lesson first alone. Then later she'll go get another child  as it's still too early. Then you start to whine again and I tell your Teacher Chang that get another friend then only you'll go for lesson.

Then she start to tell me your progress. She said that you are very intelligent. You learn very fast except that your finger is still not good. Then she said when you observe your friend learning new notes and song and your friend were trying to play you told your teacher at one look you know how to play.

I'm happy that you can do it but you are a bit too much don't you think so? Even if you know how to play at one look also you don't have to show off.

Jwo Yi's life Part 3

by Ida Khoo @ Jwo Yi’s mummy
Part 3 change is not that drastic. It's just that we are still in Shanghai but your daddy need to be in Beijing for the next half year starting from Sept 2010. He'll be back for the weekend only. Meaning daddy will be in Beijing for two weeks then fly back to Shanghai for the weekend then fly back to Beijing again. Then after two weeks he'll fly back to Shanghai for the weekend then back to Beijing again.

You are still not use to it. You'll tell me I miss my daddy and show me your sad face. But the funny thing is that when daddy call you won't talk to him but you'll tell me you miss him.

And now you are counting down to the day your daddy come home. Every morning I have to listen to you counting down. Like this morning you ask me what day is today and I said Monday. Then you'll said tomorrow is Tuesday and the next day is Wednesday then Thursday then Friday. YEAH my daddy will be back. Then when I pick you up form school you'll start again counting when your daddy is coming home.

I really feel pity for you as you will miss your daddy when your daddy not calling you and when your daddy call you, you are busy with your own things. The timing always not good when your daddy call end up you did not talk much to daddy.

At first you don't take it well because I can feel that you feel not safe and stable without your daddy here. You'll whine and cry and make lots of problem for me. But now your are alright but still miss your daddy dearly.

Poor baby.......

Shanghai Weather

by Ida Khoo @ Jwo Yi’s mummy
The weather here in Shanghai change so fast. Last week it's still hot.
I still remember on last Tuesday it's so hot and feel like around 40C. But the weather forecast is only 34C to 36C. The thermometer that I put near the window is 50C.

Then the next day you won't believe it. It's only 19C. Nice weather. The weather can change so drastically. I just can't believe it.

This morning it's raining and the ayi at school ask me why I let you wear only short sleeve T-Shirt and pants. Aren't you cold? The people here start to let their kids wear long sleeves and cardigan and long winter pants. My god it's only 20C just like air-con room. So I ask you are you cold and you tell me you are not cold. Good.   :)

Your imaginery friend "The Square"

by Ida Khoo @ Jwo Yi’s mummy
As we were walking back from school today you suddenly tell me this friend of yours "The Square" again. You tell me that they follow you to school today again. Then I ask you where are they now. You said holding your hand. I said I'm holing your hand and you said holding the other hand.

Then you tell me one is white and one is pink. The white square is a boy and the pink square is a girl. I change the subject to what we are going to do after we get home. We are going to take our bath then going to eat dinner. Then you said you are going to bath your two square and feed the two square dinner.

When we get home you take out two of your chair and said one will sit here and the other square will sit on the other chair and you are going to feed them dinner later as they are only 2 years old. They still don't know how to eat by themselves yet.

Then you draw on your white board on your square friends. Cute!

Mummy touch my forehead, I'm having fever!!!!!

by Ida Khoo @ Jwo Yi’s mummy
After three days break for the Mid-Autumn festival you need to go back to school today that is a Saturday. We wake up in the morning and you say this to me.

Jwo: Mummy touch my forehead. It' hot.
Mummy: *I touch your forehead and it's normal.* Not hot lah. You lazy bum bum. You don't want to go to school!!!
Jwo: *laughing*

You are such a lazy bum that after three days break don't want to go to school already. But when I pick you up from school you tell me that you have an enjoyable day at school today. So mummy is always right. Once you go to school you'll enjoy. Silly Jwoyi.

Baking cookies with Jwo

by Ida Khoo @ Jwo Yi’s mummy
Since move to Shanghai mummy is no longer working and got lots of time on hand.. Daddy also bought an oven so we can make lot of things to eat. I bake ribs, roasted pork belly, char siu and also bake your salmon.

It's difficult to get baking stuff here in the supermarket. And I want to bake you some cookies but don't know how to get all the ingredients. So when we go shopping near Jing'an temple supermarket I saw this ready mixes cookies. All you  need to do is add in one egg and one stick of butter and the cookie mix. Sounds easy right? So I told daddy that we can get one box of the mix and try it out. I got Betty Crocker's Walnut Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix.

So we bought one box and then mummy follow the instruction but instead of one stick of butter I put the whole big piece of butter in. I think that is equivalent to 2 stick of butter. The end result is the cookies is super duper yummy.

Hahaha....one thing is that I put the cookies all too near instead of following the instruction of 2 inch between all cookies. End up al lthe cookies stick together and because of too much butter it's a bit too soft. But overall it's successful. YEAH!!!!

Going to get a few more packet home to keep. So that when we want to make the cookies we can make it in 20mins and we'll be able to enjoy it.

Jwo Yi's 4th Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋節 - Zhongqiujie) - Part 2

by Ida Khoo @ Jwo Yi’s mummy
Okay since I find out that there won't be any lantern in Shanghai for the Mid-Autumn festival, so I try my best to make a nice lantern for you. I try to use the brochure paper to make for you but it's too thick and I cannot turn the lotus petals over and tear the paper so end up cannot use. Them I'm thinking hmmm.... I can use the origami paper to make it but it'll be too small. So I join four origami paper together to make one lantern. The end result is so so only. Still to small and cannot even put a candle in it as it'll burn the lotus lantern. Hahahahah.......

So I guess this is your only lantern for this year. Sorry baby, mummy is not good at making things. Will make it up to you when we go back to Penang for good. I'll get you a huge lantern. I promise.

mummy home made lotus lantern. (ugly)

Jwo's lunch & dinner menu for this week 20th Sept - 24th Sept 2010

by Ida Khoo @ Jwo Yi’s mummy
I don't know why you suddenly tell me what you want to eat for this week. You did not say what you want to eat on Thursday. So what shall I cook? Hmmm..... hope that you can think of something for me later. So here we go.

Monday 20th Sept 2010 : Fried rice with egg

Wednesday 22nd Sept 2010 : Salmon
Thursday 23rd Sept 2010 : ?????
Friday 24th Sept 2010 : Salmon again

Talking about salmon, you suddenly like it so much so that you request to have it everyday. So end up your daddy and you come to an agreement. You can have your salmon 3 times a week. That is on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Hahahaha....

鬼呀!!!!

by Ida Khoo @ Jwo Yi’s mummy
This really is so damn funny that I laugh until I cannot stop laughing.
I was talking to your daddy through Skype and report to your daddy your day today as your daddy is in Beijing. Then as I was reporting to your daddy suddenly i remember something. So here goes.

You were putting away your toys in your toy room and when you come out you scream 鬼呀! 鬼呀! 鬼呀! Then I ask you ha??? Then you said got monster. Then I told you off and tell you that there is no monster in this world. The biggest monster is you!

Then after that I play with my computer and you do your own things. Then suddenly you said this to me. Mummy if this world got monster sure the police will catch all the monster. Right mummy? Right mummy?
Then I was thinking to my self how to answer you. I cannot tell you no have to ask monk to catch. Right? If I tell you that then you will think that there is a monster in this world. So I just nod my head.

I really cannot believe it. Police catch monster!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.................................

Jwo Yi's 4th Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋節 - Zhongqiujie) - Part 1

by Ida Khoo @ Jwo Yi’s mummy
Your fourth Zhongqiujie is in Shanghai. Up until now I don't see any lantern. So I guess that the Zhongqiujie here is different from in Penang.

Your daddy ask me to make you a lantern. What a joke. Hahaha.........
And for this year Zhongqiujie is going to be lonely for both of us as your daddy is in Beijing working. What to do. This is life. I hope that there is something special here at Zhongqiujie for you to do. I'll try to find out. Will update this post again later as Zhongqiujie is on the 22nd Sep 2010.

Okay after reading from this link http://www.i-chinastyle.com/ on the article Custom of Mid-Autumn Festival in Shanghai I know that they don't have lantern here. So Jwo sorry no lantern this round. Only can find lantern in Guangzhou. *cry cry*

Jwo's new phrase

by Ida Khoo @ Jwo Yi’s mummy
You are so funny now. The other day you were telling me "mummy funny die me".
I was like ha?????? Then I said what did you just said and you tell me again and I was like ha?????
Then you tell me in Mandarin " Siau si wa". Then I was like oh.....you translate it to English. But also wrong. The "siau" is laugh and I don't know why you use the word funny. Cheeky little Jwo.

Jwo Yi Pre 4th birthday - Part 1

by Ida Khoo @ Jwo Yi’s mummy
I'm going crazy with this conversation with you today. Last week you were telling me that you don't want to celebrate your birthday at school this year because you don't want to waste daddy's money. But today your friend celebrate his birthday at school and you got a Daisy Duck watch and a chocolate. So I ask you if you change your mind on celebrating your 4th Birthday at school. You tell me that you want to celebrate at school.

So I said please make up your mind as last week you said you don't want to celebrate at school. You said you have made up your mind and you want to celebrate at school.

Hope that you won't change your mind again once I book the cake and get the goody bag for your friends.

Piano Lesson at Happy Valley School Part 2

by Ida Khoo @ Jwo Yi’s mummy
I really don't know what happen today to you at piano lesson. I drop you at your piano class and you ask me to wait for you until your lesson finish but as I try to leave you cry and cry like crazy. End up I have to wait outside for you and you can't pay attention at all in your class. You keep on looking outside to see if I'm still there.

But from where I observe, you are quite quick to pick up form what your teacher teach you just that you can't concentrate because I'm there. For example today you learn a new note D. The teacher teach you that it's beside the Middle C and you learn so fast that you can play the song and count to the beat all by yourself without the teacher telling you.

For example the song "train" that you play this morning. It's Middle C four counts and D four counts then  middle C two count and D two count. Follow by Middle C and D two count each again and middle C one count four times and middle C one count  four times again. You did all that by yourself.

I'm so proud of you but all this while that you play you were crying and counting all together. Hahaha.....
End up I get so angry because you were disturbing another child beside you learning and distract her so your teacher ask me to take you back to your class. I'm not going to drop you at your piano class but I'm going to drop you at your own class and let your teacher take you to piano class.

Piano Lesson at Happy Valley School Part 1

by Ida Khoo @ Jwo Yi’s mummy
I'm so surprise to see you at your piano lesson this morning. When your teacher open the music book on the fist page with the notes you can play and count to the music notes. The left page is with the upper staff treble clef which you need to play with your right hand. The music notes is middle C. You play by yourself and count to the note which is four count. Then on the right page is the lower staff bass clef where you know how to take your left hand up to play the middle C and again count to the four count.

The next page is where you  need to play with both your hands. Right hand first also middle C four count twice and left hand middle C four count twice then repeat again. You did all that without the instruction form teacher. I'm surprise that you can learn so fast. Today is the 7th lesson. Or maybe not you can learn fast but the teacher is good. Hahahaha...... but anyway I'm so proud of you and so is your daddy as he is there this morning to look at you playing too.

Your piano teacher also same surname as you . Teacher Chang said that your thumb need practice. Not good at all no strength. Left hand worst still. Position of the fingers not good and no strength.

But to me you are doing great and good. Keep up the good work Jwo.

Jwo Yi's 3rd Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋節 - Zhongqiujie)

by Ida Khoo @ Jwo Yi’s mummy
Your third Zhongqiujie is at our new house. I did buy a new gold color bird lantern for you which is battery operated but the music is too loud. Bought for you at the pasar malam. Maybe at the pasar malam is so noisy and not really hear the music so loud. When we reach home and switch it on it's so loud that you don't want the lantern. So me the cleaver one get a nice sticker of yours and stick it at the speaker and the music is now very soft. Cleaver mummy.

The rest of the lantern is from last year. The cartoon character paper lantern and the Mickey Mouse and Donald Round Paper battery operated lantern. This Mickey and Donald lantern just got lights and no music which suits you just fine. As you grow one year older now your are so scared of the candle lighted paper lantern.

Oh forgot about one more lantern. The Doremon  lantern is form your Ee Ee. Also battery operated and got music and also I stick one sticker at the speaker so that it's not too loud.

The blue Doremon Lantern hanging on the gate is from Ee Ee

Jwo Yi's 2nd Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋節 - Zhongqiujie)

by Ida Khoo @ Jwo Yi’s mummy
Your second Zhongqiujie is at our rented house. This time I got you lots and lots of lantern. But all the lantern that I buy this time is battery operated. This is because you can walk and move around now so I need to look out for your safety and not burn down the rented house. But of course I still get you the paper lantern with cartoon character like Mickey Mouse and Pooh Bear. The paper lantern I hang it on the gate for you to see only. You use the battery operated lantern to walk around the rented house porch.

I can only find two photos but one the quality is very bad so I post only one here.

Jwo Yi's first Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋節 - Zhongqiujie)

by Ida Khoo @ Jwo Yi’s mummy

We play with your lantern on the side of your popo's house. We hang all the lanterns on the hanging clothes lines. I buy the paper lanterns as well to light up all for you to see. You end up feeding the mosquitoes. Hahaha.......

by Ida Khoo @ Jwo Yi’s mummy
This is so damn funny. Laugh my ass off man.
You ask me what is kong kong's name  and amah's name. So I tell you kong kong's name is Khoo Teng Hock. Amah's name is Koay Lay Hoon. Or kong kong's name can also be Tony Khoo and amah's name can also be Linda Koay.

Then you suddenly said to me kong kong's name is toe and knee. Toeknee. I laugh like crazy. How can you think of that I really don't know.

Let me add in one more thing. I said I'll tell kong kong that you call him toeknee and let him smack you and you said never mind because you know that kong kong love you. KNS nia

Jwo Yi is down with fever (8th Sep 2010)

by Ida Khoo @ Jwo Yi’s mummy
Jwo you are down with fever today. The previous night you cough like crazy and this morning you have fever. So you did not go to school and after milk I give you the Chinese Medicine. I use the syringe to give you the medicine.

Luckily today your fever is not high and your daddy not around. If you have high fever then I'll be "kalam-kabut".

I cook porridge for you but you did not want to eat and end up you  drink milk for lunch only. Then you surprise me and said that you want to drink the medicine from the bottle using the straw. I let you do it as what you want and you finish it. I'm so proud of you.

At night also same you eat a bit of porridge only then you drink milk again. Then you drink the medicine form the bottle again.  But you cough like crazy when you sleep even tho your kuku already apply the Vicks for you.

I'm so worry now. Hopefully you'll still have your voice tomorrow morning. And hopefully the fever will be gone for good tomorrow morning. What a day.

Jwo making funny faces

by Ida Khoo @ Jwo Yi’s mummy
Out of boredom I ask you to make funny faces and I took photo of it. You looks so funny for all the faces that you make. Oh you know how to turn / wrap up your tongue. Surprises me when you first know how to do it. So I ask you to do it and take a photo for you  to prove to you when you are big that at the age of four you discover that you can fold your tongue. COOL!!!!

Yang Yang shoe

by Ida Khoo @ Jwo Yi’s mummy
Guess what kind of shoes did you get Jwo?

Yang Yang shoe - hand painted

I'm thinking of getting you a nice pair of shoe for the summer instead of wearing only the corcs shoes. We were walking at Zhongsan Park metro shops and I saw this hand painted shoes and I'm thinking of getting you one pair. I'm thinking of getting you the hand painted girl face or the animal design. End up you pick the yang yang design. I like it too. As soon as daddy said can buy you put it on and daddy paid for it and off you go wearing the new pair of yang yang shoe.

Star Kids Land at Imago

by Ida Khoo @ Jwo Yi’s mummy
When we just got here there is nothing much around our housing area. But on 6th June 2010 there is a new shopping center open near our apartment. It's 15mins to 20mins walking distance. The shopping center is called Imago.

How did we find it? This have to thank you Jwo. You were looking for pets. So daddy ask around and they said there is a place also near our housing area around Caoyang Lu. Then we found that place and we explore around that area and found the shopping center.

In Imago there is a indoor playground / fun park for kids to play. Daddy get you the package of 5 entry for RMB150. You were so happy.

Shanghai Zoo

by Ida Khoo @ Jwo Yi’s mummy
We take you to the zoo on the 1st May 2010. This is your first time to a zoo. I'm so excited. What I wanted to see most is the panda. We are very lucky because due to Shanghai World Expo 2010 they move six female and four male pandas from the Wolong Giant Panda Reserve Center in Sichuan  to spend six months at the Shanghai Zoo.

The weather is just right for us to walk around. Not too cold and not too hot. We just manage to look at a few animals as it's getting crowded with people in the afternoon. So end up we just manage to look at Outdoor Carnivore Islands, Carnivore Boardwalk, Panda House and Bear Pits, Big Cat Enclosures, Herbivore Paddocks, Kangaroo Lawn, Monkey Houses and Ape Islands and Gorilla Pavilion. Out of 29 lists of animals in Shanghai Zoo we only look at eight.

Don't worry we'll be going again soon I promise. This time we'll finish looking at the rest that we miss out.

Chinese New Year at Shanghai

by Ida Khoo @ Jwo Yi’s mummy
2010 Chinese New Year in Shanghai is totally different for us. We did not go back to Penang for Chinese New Year. On the eve of CNY your daddy invite one of his colleague over to eat together. He and his wife were her at our house for steamboat. Then when night came you went to bed.

I think it start at around 9:00pm, the firework went off and it's so beautiful. Totally different from Penang. Then as the night goes on the firework is off non stop until pass mid-night. The surprising part is that you sleep like a pig. The fireworks is very loud but you sleep  through the night without waking up at all. And me cannot sleep at all because I find it too noisy.

I truly enjoy the firework at first but as the night goes on I find it too noisy and the air is totally polluted with the firework's smoke. Too bad I don't seems to be able to load the video here.

Jwo Yi's life Part 2

by Ida Khoo @ Jwo Yi’s mummy
Part 2  is about we move to Shanghai. We move to Shanghai on the 17th Jan 2010. When we first came we stay at Renaissance Shanghai Zhongsan Park Hotel (No. 1018 Changning Road,,Changning District Shanghai, Shanghai 200042 Chin)

After the first week you were sick. Down with fever. I'm so worry as this is your first time at a winter environment. But luckily after taking medicine you are all right. It's such a big change for you in lots of ways.

One is the weather You are not use to winter clothing. You need to wear long-johns inside then only your long sleeve and long pants. Then when we go out you need to wear coat and scarf. Then because it's winter you need to apply body cream so that your skin is not too dry. After few weeks your leg looks so ugly because your skin dry until it crack. Gosh am I worry for you. But the most happiest for you is you bath only once per day. But when the time come for you to bath you'll cry as it's cold.

The second one is the food. You don't seems to like to eat the food here when we first get here. And as we stay in the hotel we eat out most of the time. You only like the spinach noodle or the fried fish in soy sauce with rice and you just eat the rice with the soy sauce and not the fish.  I worry for you too as you don't eat much. But all that changes when we move in to the rented  house as I cook everyday for you and you eat like normal again.

The third one is language problem. When we first enroll you in the new kindergarten  called Happy Valley Bilingual Kindergarten I'm a bit worry as the teachers there are local. And  they speak Mandarin in the class and you are not use to listen to Chinese at all. As most of your class in Penang is in English. But the head mistress said no problem you'll manage in no time. When I talk to the teaches in your class , it seems like they don't speak English. So I just teach you how to say  "Teacher I want to go pee" but this is another headache. You doesn't know how to squad down to pee. And you'll just cry when the teacher ask you to pee. You'll just hold until we get home and pee on the floor as you cannot hold any longer. I'm so mad at you and end up I have to ask your teacher to let you use potty.

I hope there won't be any more changes for you.
But that is just a hope that is not going to happen because we'll move back to Penang one day and that one day is ???????.

Jwo Yi's life Part 1

by Ida Khoo @ Jwo Yi’s mummy
When Jwo were first born we stay with your Popo (your daddy's mum)Your Popo care for you while me and dad work. We stay with her until you were around 18 month old. Then due to some matters we move out and rented a house near to our new house. At that time our new house is still not ready to move in yet.  We have to put you at daycare as no one to care for you. It's the most difficult time for me and you. My heart break to pieces for you as I can't afford to look after you and need to work. It's difficult for you as you need to adjust to this new changes. I feel so guilty and sad but that's life Jwo. We need to learn to adapt and change to situation.

I really feel pity for you as you need to learn that from so young. Up to now I still feel very guilty for leaving you at daycare at such young age. Then after not long about half year I change you to another new daycare near our house. And you need to adjust again to another new daycare and environment. It's a good change for you as you learn a lot from this new daycare / kindergarten called Dragonfly.

Then another blow come after nearly a year. We need to move to Shanghai due to relocation for daddy's work.  Ain't your life full of change Jwo? Since your birth there are lots of changes. Is this your fate to life that are full of changes? I hope there won't be any more changes. I'm too old for all that. My heart can't take anymore changes and moving around..........

Kai Si De Mama - 该死的妈妈

by Ida Khoo @ Jwo Yi’s mummy
Today we went out for dinner and after dinner we walk home. When we reach she walk so very slowly and me and her kuku disturb her. I walk very fast ans ask her kuku to be quick and we'll just leave her outside the security door. So I ran very fast and the kuku follow behind and try to block her from running inside and we were just playing with her and she was screaming like crazy because she is angry.

The next thins out from her mouth is "Kai si de mama" in Mandarin. I was like how can you say that to your mum  me. I'm so angry that I tell the kuku just leave her there and don't let her get in the lift. Then when we reach our house i ignore her and she cry and cry and cry saying she don't want to  say that anymore in the future. I said i don't care . I don't want a child who can say such a thing to her mum.

Then when I cool down I ask her why did she say that and it's not good to say that to me or anyone else  at all. Then her kuku said maybe she don't know the meaning, So I ask her do you know what is the meaning and she said no. So we told her the meaning and I told her don't ever say that to anyone at all. It's bad to scold people that. I think she watch too much Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf or Happy Sheep and Grey Wolf (Chinese: 喜羊羊与灰太狼; pinyin: Xǐ Yáng Yáng yǔ Huī Tài Láng). Bad influence of language here.

To know more about the cartoon refer to the below link.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pleasant_Goat_and_Big_Big_Wolf

Note: Too much cartoon is bad for children. They learn too fast but don't understand. I have to limit her TV time. I also need to understand her more and explain to her more instead of getting angry with her.

Poor Jwo - mosiquito bites

by Ida Khoo @ Jwo Yi’s mummy
This whole summer I'm surprise that I don't see any mosquitoes and this means that Jwo won't get any mosquitoes bite at all. Boy am I wrong. The past few days rain for two days in a row.  And the third day you bicycle to school and back. When we reach home I saw you scratching both of your legs. Then I ask you to come to me and look at your leg. Gosh! Both of your legs got mosquitoes bite . Each leg like got 3 mosquitoes bites. The mosquitoes bite are big red patch.

Oh...it might not be mosquitoes. Might be don't know what kind of bug bites.
The bites mark are still there and still itchy. Poor Jwo.

Cheeky Jwo disturb her Ku Ku

by Ida Khoo @ Jwo Yi’s mummy
This happen just today. I tell her go say good night to ku ku. After saying good night to her ku ku on the way walking to the room she switch off the living room light to disturb the ku ku. As you know ku ku also crazy guy. He make the sound of a monster and pretend to go catch her. She scream like siau lang because it's dark and thought that  ku ku is coming towards her with the freaky monster sound. She said she is scared.

Then I tell her why did you disturb your ku ku in the first place. Then i thought she will go in the room and sleep. Being her cheeky self she switch off the light again and this time the ku ku really did walk towards her to catch her and you should look at Jwo's reaction. It is so funny that me and ku ku laugh. Too bad i did not capture with video if not I'll post the video here.

Jwo's Imagination

by Ida Khoo @ Jwo Yi’s mummy
The other day Jwo Yi suddenly got scared and she told me there is a monster. Then I ask her where is the monster. Then she told me the monster is near the kitchen door. She said it's white in color. At that time we were going to the toilet to take a bath. We need to pass by the kitchen door. I ask her is the monster still there and she told me no the monster not there already.

Then I bath for her and she still talk about the monster and she suddenly said the monster is her friend. So I would like to find out more on this monster and I ask her the following.

Me: Did the monster stay with us in the same house?
Jwo: Yes. It's a she and it's a square. She is usually in my toy room.
Me: Did she play with you?
Jwo: Yes. And always try to scare me.
Me: Hahaha....(me getting a bit eerie d) I think she just want to play with you only Jwo. Did she go to school with you?
Jwo: No. She stay in the toy room when I'm in school.

Then suddenly she scream and tell me she is scared of her and want to go out of the toilet and cry. She scare the hell out of me. KNS nia.

Then I told her the biggest monster is her own imagination. There is no monster in this world. Her own imagination is her BIGGEST MONSTER!!!!!!!

Moving to Shanghai

by Ida Khoo @ Jwo Yi’s mummy
We move to shanghai in Jan 2010. It's a big change for Jwo Yi. We stay in a hotel when we first came. You were sick when we first reach here. It's winter when we got here in Shanghai. Then we search for house and we grab the one that is at Shunyi Lu. We get that house because it's near your new school.

This is when we first came and in the hotel. Bought you a dinosaur that cost RMB60
You and your dino.

As soon as we move in the next day daddy fly to Xiamen. Then you also start your first day at your new school Happy Valley Bilingual Kindergarten. You were  alright this time. Not crying. What a relieve for me. But this is a big change as all the teacher and kids speak Mandarin. I only remind you one thing. How to tell your teacher you want to go toilet to pee. But you don't want to and everyday as soon as you reach home you pee on the floor because you cannot tahan already. I'm so mad at you that I scolded you. End up I go to  school and tell your Teacher Tai that you don't know how to squad down to pee and need the potty.

You miss Penang so much so that you kept on asking me to take you back to Penang. You said you want Amah, Kong Kong, Ee Ee and Kelly. You said you want go back Penang and you miss your toys and daddy's blue car.

Talking about blue car, in Shanghai all using public transportation and the main one is the Metro. Everywhere we go have to take the metro. So when we first reach we walk a lot and on the 2nd day  I cannot tahan carrying you so go and buy a stroller. And everywhere we go we'll take your stroller and everyone was like looking at you because you are so big and still in stroller. But I don't care, better than I have to carry you until my hand tired and pain. Hahahaha.......
