This is a very nice book. It is about a girl named Matilda who can move things with her eyes. It is quite funny when I read about how her parents treat her and how her headmistress in school treats the students. The part that I like best is where she scared her headmistress by picking up a piece of chalk and writing on the board by using her eye power. I also like the part when she visits her teacher - Miss Honey's house. Matilda is a Math genius. At the age of five she could do multiplication with big numbers like 254x 44. She could calculate it out at once while Miss Honey still need to use a calculater. It is fun reading about how fast she could do her maths. At the end of the story, her family is going to be arrested by a police and they need to move to somewhere far away immediately. Luckily, Miss Honey and her parents agreed to let Miss Honey adopt her. It is a very nice and happy ending. At least she don't need to face her parents doing things to her like burning up her library book .
